Apple iPad 2 Event Expectations
The first generation of the Apple iPad is still, over a year on, undoubtedly the most popular tablet device available on the market. Generally Apple products are on a yearly release cycle so it is no surprise that the giant fruit has sent out invitations for a press event on February second where the next version is to be announced. In this video I go over, for the final time, what we may see. Website: www.tom-rogers.com
Apple iPad 2 Rumors Swirl
Transcript by (www.newsy.com) You’re watching multisource tech news from Newsy WXIN “The rumors continue to swirl about the new version of Apple’s iPad. The iPad 2. What will it include?” Just in time to steal your Christmas surprise, the Grinch of all rumors. IPad2 — is coming — sooner than you think. 100 days. Soon enough — to scratch that off Santa’s list — and wait for the Easter Bunny to do the heavy lifting? That’s the worry for Apple and its cadre of converted cronies. Wanna know what’s new? Apple iPad 2 launch? Fix in-app purchases first, Apple!
www.nma.tv Apple’s in-app purchases have come under criticism. Critics say app developers are luring children to buy virtual goods at outrageous prices. Another common complaint is that some purchases are priced at $99.99, in an attempt to trick users into thinking the fee is actually 99 cents. Some children have racked up bills as high as US$1400. This has outraged parents and prompted an FTC investigation. One focus of inquiry is a 15-minute window that allows unlimited in-app purchases after a parent has supplied their password to iTunes. In the meantime, parents will need to be more cautious when giving their children access to iTunes content.
